The Dodge Viper TA was a special variant of the Fifth Generation Dodge Viper (VX I) that was first introduced for the 2014 model year. The TA, short for Time Attack, featured an aggressive aerodynamic package coupled with extensive weight saving measures. Two versions were built, the TA 1.0 and the TA 2.0. The TA 1.0 was introduced for 2014, while the TA 2.0 was introduced in 2015 with updated aero and greater weight saving. These cars were both powered by the standard 8.4L V10 engine offered for the VX I Viper, with drive being sent through a 6 speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. Production of the Viper TA lasted until 2017 when Dodge discontinued the Viper.
