Dodge WC Series (1940 to 1945)

The Dodge WC Series was a range of military vehicles produced from 1940 until 1945. The WC Series was available in a wide number of configurations built on 4x2, 4x4, or 6x6 drivetrains. Three main platforms were available: 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and 1 1/2 ton. The flexibility of the WC Series allowed the trucks to be used for over 52 variants, all of which were powered by an inline six engine ranging in displacement from 3.6L to 4.0L. The most notable variants include the WC56 (Command Car), WC52 (Pickup), WC58 (Radio Truck). While production ended in 1945, the WC Series remained in service until 1951, when they were replaced by the Dodge M37.
