Ferrari 308 GTS (1977 to 1982)

In 1977, the targa topped (semi-convertible) Ferrari 308 GTS was introduced along with the GTB version. All GTS models used a wet sump engine and were steel-bodied. The 2.9-liter Ferrari V8 engine was equipped with four twin-choke Weber carburettors, powering the rear via a 5-speed manual transmission. European versions produced 252 hp at 6600 rpm, and North American versions produced 237 hp at 6,600 rpm due to emissions control devices. Approximately 3,219 GTS's were produced until 1980, when the fuel-injected 308 GTSi was introduced. Note that although production of the 308 GTS ended in 1980, some samples were registered in subsequent years, overlapping with sales of the 308 GTSi.
