Ford F-Series - 2nd Gen (1953 to 1956)

The Ford F-Series was redesigned by Ford for 1953 with a more integrated look. The second generation pickups also obtained their widely familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100, the F-2 and F-3 now became the F-250, and the F-4 now became the 1-ton F-350. Heavy Duty variants were also built, which included the F-500, F-600, F-700, F-750, F-800, and F-900. Optional interior amenities were new, including a dome light, lighter, arm rests, sun visors and a radio. While the vast majority of offerings were pickuo trucks, a panel van was also built. Regardless of variant, due to the popularity of the 2nd Gen F-Series, it was commonly used to create Custom vehicles. Production lasted until 1956, when Ford introduced the Third Generation F-Series.
