The fourth generation of GMC Sierra was introduced for the 2014 model year. The fourth generation Sierra was built on the GMT K2XX platform, and was an upmarket version of the Chevrolet Silverado. A wide range of V8 engine options, as well as one V6 engine, were featured on the fourth generation Sierra, which was offered in regular, extended, and crew cab configurations. Production of the fourth generation light-duty Sierra ended in 2018, while the medium and heavy duty variants remained in production until 2019. The 4th Gen Sierra was replaced by the Fifth Generation GMC Sierra.
