In 1971, the GM subsidiary Holden began producing the HQ. It was a model line with several variants and many body configurations looking unsurprisingly similar to their American counterparts, such as the Nova and Impala. Models variants of the HQ include the Belmont, Kingswood, Premier, and SS. All cars featured a GM-derived inline-six or V8 engine. Production stopped in 1974, with the Holden HJ succeeding it.
