Mercedes-Benz 250 - W114 (1969 to 1976)

The Mercedes-Benz 250 was a variant of the W114 Sedan that debuted for the 1969 model year. The 250 was offered from the factory in a four door sedan body style, although a variety of coachbuilt bodies were built, including station wagon, ambulance, and hearse. These cars were initially powered by Mercedes' M114.920 engine, which was a 130hp 2.5L inline six. For 1971, this engine was replaced by the M130.923, which was a 130hp 2.8L inline six. These engines sent their power to the rear wheels via both manual and automatic transmission options. Production of the W114 Mercedes-Benz 250 ended in 1976, with 112,364 examples built. The 250 model series would continue life in the next generation Mercedes-Benz E as the W123 Mercedes-Benz 250.
