Mercedes-Benz 200TE - S124 (1986 to 1996)

The Mercedes-Benz 200TE was a variant of the S124 Wagon that debuted for the 1986 model year. Initially, the 200 TE was powered by Mercedes' M102.963 engine, which was a 2.0L inline four that had an output of 118hp and 127 lb ft. From the 1993 model year, the 200TE was fitted with the M111.940 engine, which was a new 2.0L inline four that generated 136hp and 140 lb ft. Both of these engines were paired to manual and automatic transmission options that sent drive to the rear wheels. From the 1994 model year onwards, the 200TE was renamed the E200, with production lasting until 1996. A total of 35,834 examples were built.
