The Mercedes-Benz E320 was a variant of the C124 Coupe that was introduced for the 1993 model year. For the first model year of production (1993), the E320 coupe was sold as the 300CE in the North American market (320CE in Europe). This family of coupes was powered by Mercedes' M104.992 engine, which was a 3.2L inline six that generated 220hp and 229 lb ft of torque. This power was sent to the rear wheels via manual and automatic transmission options. The C124 Mercedes-Benz E320 was built until 1996, with a total of 13,768 examples built. At the end of production of the C124 E-Class Coupes, Mercedes introduced the CLK-Class, which was the new name used for E-Class based coupes and convertibles.
