Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I (1992 to 1994)

The first Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution to be introduced was the Evolution I. Introduced in 1992, the Evo I was a performance focused four wheel drive sedan. Two variants were offered, the RS (Rally Sport), which featured a mechanical plate limited slip differential, was the more stripped down, focused version, while the GSR (Gran Sport Racing) was more well appointed and featured options such as a sunroof. Both variants featured a 2.0L turbocharged inline four engine, and were produced until 1994. The Evo I was replaced by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution II.
