Morris Motors, better known as Morris, was an English automotive manufacturer established in 1919. After its creation, Morris grew to become one of England&#39;s most popular automakers, with models such as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morris/oxford/">Oxford</a>, <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morris/cowley/">Cowley</a>, <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morris/eight/">Eight</a>, and <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morris/ten/">Ten</a> establishing the company&#39;s reputation. One of Morris&#39; most successful models was the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morris/minor/">Morris Minor</a>, which was built in various generations and variants, eventually selling over 1 million cars. In 1952, Morris merged with <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/austin/">Austin</a> to create the British Motor Corporation, which created a wide range of cars that often shared both Austin and Morris badges. Perhaps the most famous example of this collaboration is the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/mini/classic-mini/">Classic Mini</a>, which until it became its own make, was sold as both the Austin Mini and Morris Mini. Morris badged cars remained in production until 1984, when the Morris brand was dissolved in order for the corporation to focus on the more popular Austin brand.

The Isis was available as a saloon, coupe, or tourer, and was powered by a 2.5L inline six engine which was paired to 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. These cars were built on an new chassis and featured all steel bodies. Most notably, the Isis was the first Morris model to feature hydraulic brakes.
