Oldsmobile 88 (1949 to 1999)

The Oldsmobile 88 was a range of full size cars introduced in 1949. The 88 was Oldsmobile's most popular model for many of its early years, with variants such as the Dynamic, Delta, Fiesta, Jetstar, Royale, and Super being produced. Over the course of production, the 88 was offered in a wide range of open and closed body styles. The 88 became known as the Eighty Eight starting in 1989. The Oldsmobile 88 was built in ten generations: 1st Gen (1949-1953), 2nd Gen (1954-1956), 3rd Gen (1957-1958), 4th Gen (1959-1960), 5th Gen (1961-1964), 6th Gen (1965-1970), 7th Gen (1971-1976), 8th Gen (1977-1985), 9th Gen (1986-1991), and 10th Gen (1992-1999).
