The Speed model was introduced by Triumph Motorcycles in 1938.The original 1938 Speed Twin, with a 500cc parallel twin engine, was a milestone in British motorcycling and evolved after the war to 650cc versions in the 60s and 750cc in the 70s. In 2019 it was reborn as the Speed Twin 1200 and in 2023 the most affordable model, the Street Twin, was renamed the Speed Twin 900. In the sports naked category, Triumph launched the Speed Triple in 1994, always with a three cylinder engine, which has grown from 885cc to 1160cc in the 1200 RS/RR. In between, the unusual Speed Four appeared with a 599cc inline four engine. In 2024, the Speed 400 arrived with a modern 398cc single cylinder engine, aimed at new users.
