Triumph Trophy (1949 to 2017)

The Trophy was introdiced in 1949 by Triumph Motorcycles. Early versions included the Trophy TR5 and the TR6, designed for the North American market and off-road competitions such as the International Six Days Trial. These bikes were powered by 500cc and 650cc parallel-twin air-cooled engines, with rear chain drive and 4 speed manual transmissions. In the early 1970s, variants such as the Trophy 250 and the enduro-style TR5T emerged. Decades later, the name was revived with touring models like the Trophy 900 and 1200, now featuring liquid-cooled three-cylinder engines, 5 and 6 speed manual transmissions and a greater focus on on-road comfort. The Trophy evolved from a classic British off-road bike to a modern touring model, while still maintaining its robust and versatile character. The Trophy Triumph Motorcycles were produced until 2017.
