Baikal Coupe

A very high quality and restored BMW 3.0 CS available in timeless 042 Baikal Blue over Tan leather. A beautiful, sorted and excellent driving BMW 3.0 CS is now available.

This car started life in Italy and made it's way into Germany in recent years. It benefits from a fresh restoration with beautiful paint, a beautifully straight body and an all new interior, technically all sorted and it has a beloved feature: a perfectly functioning A/C.

One can really spot it's Italian origin in this car. The body has never been repaired and has it's original floors, sills and A-pillars from the factory. Not a car that has been repaired multiple times but one that stayed original thanks to a dry climate and a careful owner. The result is a solid body that's very straight as well. Great panelgaps, original fenders, doors and lids that line up well. The paintjob was recently redone in it's factory Baikal blue color. This was carried out very well - A mirror finish, very straight and ofcourse painted with all trim off.

The quality of the paint is great. The chrome around the windows is great and all seals and emblems have been replaced. Straight, shiny bumpers in great condition. Clear headlights, polished taillights make for an impressive E9. The chrome grilles on the bonnet and fenders are brand new as well as the outside mirrors.

The interior was beautifully reupholstered by our in-house artisan. A complete job in high quality, supple leather. Front seats and seats reupholstered, a new set of carpets in matching color in the correct loop-style. The doorpanels have been reupholstered and the center console was restored and houses a period corrrect Blaupunkt radio with new antenna and speaker. A great option is the factory A/C this car has. We've repaired the system and brought it to the 21st century: a new compressor, new condensor, new lines, new filter, reupholstered center console and repaired condensor. Now blows cold.

The trunk shows it's original grey panels and the tools tray is present and near complete.
The car's underside was treated as well. Using dry-ice it was cleaned extensively - still showing it's original seamsealer and coating. The wheel wells have been painted in body color, the floors in primer - like BMW did it back then. After which it received a coating of a transparent undercoating to protect it from the elements. It looks great, it's non-sticky, cleanable and a great way to protect while looking great.

Technically the car is 100% fit and ready to enjoy. The engine bay shows the factory metal, perfectly healthy. It was beautifully repainted and has the correct decals back in place. The matching numbers engine runs beautiful. It starts up and idles smooth and makes good power. We've been through it completely and performed major servicing that includes rebuilding the carburators, replacing the timing chain, replacing ignition parts, new gaskets, new fluids, filters and performing proper adjustment of carbs, ignition and valves.
We've replaced suspension bushings, rebuilt the brakes, replaced rear shocks, slightly lowered it and fitted new 16 inch Alpina style wheels with fresh tyres. So much was carried out, it's too much to mention here.

The car drives beautiful. Very easy to drive, makes great power and is really dialed in.
The quality of body, paint and trim is beautiful and the car makes a great, mint impression.
