The Austin Sixteen Light Six was a family of cars that was introduced in 1927. The Sixteen Light Six was a range of mid-size cars offered in a range of body styles including tourer and saloon. These cars were available with a 2.3L or 2.5L inline six engine that sent power to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission. In order to differentiate the new model from other Austin models that featured a four cylinder engine, the Sixteen Light Six wore "Austin Six" on its front grill.
