For the 2008 model year, BMW introduced the Manual-equipped convertible variant of the E90 BMW M3. E90 convertibles were known as E93, and these were powered by a 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine. This engine sent 414hp to the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual transmission. Production of the E93 BMW M3 lasted until 2013. BMW changed their model range in 2014, adding the 4 Series, which is comprised of 3 Series based 2 door cars (coupe, convertible, fastback), this meant that future M3 models would exclusively be sedans. The follow up to the E93 M3 Convertible, the BMW M4, was introduced in 2015.
