The 325xi was a variant of the E90 BMW 3 Series. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the 325xi was an all-wheel drive version of the BMW 325i that was offered in sedan (E90) and touring (E91) body styles. These cars were initially fitted with BMW's N52 inline six engine, which was upgraded for 2008 with the N53 unit for markets outside of North America and Australia, which kept the N52. These engines shared the same power output (215hp), but the N53 featured more torque and a more usable powerband. Both automatic and manual transmission options were offered for the E90 325xi, which was in production until 2013 when the model series was discontinued.
