The BMW M3 CRT was a limited edition variant of the E90 BMW M3 that was exclusively available for the 2012 model year. The CRT, which stood for Carbon Racing Technology, was only available in a sedan body style, featuring extensive weight savings that resulted in a curb weight over 150lbs lighter than the standard E90 M3 Sedan. These cars featured the same 444hp 4.4L V8 engine as found in the M3 GTS, but used in a much more refined and comfortable package than the track-focused GTS. Just a total of 67 examples of the BMW M3 CRT were built before production ended.
