The 325i was a variant of the E90 BMW 3 Series that was introduced for the 2005 model year. BMW offered the 325i in sedan (E90), touring (E91), coupe (E92), and convertible (E93) body styles. These cars were initially fitted with BMW's N52 inline six engine, which was upgraded for 2008 with the N53 unit. These engines shared the same power output (215hp), but the N53 featured more torque and a more usable powerband. The 325i was available with manual and automatic transmission options which sent power to the rear wheels, although an all-wheel drive variant known as the 325xi was also offered. Production of the E90 325i lasted until 2013, when the model series was discontinued.
