The BMW 740Le xDrive is a plug-in hybrid variant of the G11 BMW 7 Series that was introduced for the 2016 model year. Built on the long wheelbase, the 740Le featured the "iPerformance" name, which BMW used to designate plug-in hybrid vehicles it offered. These hybrid luxury sedans were powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline four engine that was paired to an electric motor for a combined output of 322hp. Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8 speed automatic transmission. Production of the G11 BMW 740Le ended in 2019, when it was replaced by the G11 BMW 745Le.
