Daimler, also known as the Daimler Company Limited, was a British automotive manufacturer founded in 1896. Although the name Daimler was licenced from DMG (Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft), Daimler Company Limited shared no other affiliation with <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/mercedes-benz/">Mercedes-Benz</a>&#39;s parent company. Daimler created a wide range of cars, including luxury and sporting models, featuring prominently in the pre-WW2 automobile market.
