The Daimler DS420, also known as the Daimler Limousine, was a series of high end luxury cars introduced for the 1969 model year. The DS420 succeeded the Daimler DR450 and was created to be used as a chauffeur-driven vehicle, and was popular with many countries for use as their state car. This range of cars were based on the Jaguar Mark X, and were powered by a 4.2L inline six engine, which sent drive to the rear wheels via a 3 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Daimler DS420 lasted until 1992, when the model was discontinued.
