Diamond T 700 Series (1947 to 1955)

The 700 Series was introduced in 1947 by Diamond T as a line of heavy duty commercial trucks designed for regional transport, construction, and vocational service applications in the postwar era. This series included variants such as the 404, 406, and other specialized configurations, available in 4x2 and 6x4 drive configurations, depending on tonnage and application. They were primarily offered with a conventional two door steel day cab, although they could be adapted to bodies such as highway tractor, dump truck, tanker or cargo truck. The most common engines were Hercules inline six, both gasoline and diesel, with notable high displacement units designed for high torque. The standard transmission was a five speed manual, frequently combined with an auxiliary gearbox in heavy duty applications. The Diamond T 700 Series was produced until 1955.
