Diamond T 900 Series (1947 to 1956)

The 900 Series was introduced in 1947 by Diamond T as a line of heavy duty on highway trucks and tractors. This family included variants such as the 921, 922, and 931, primarily designed for long haul and heavy duty applications. These trucks were offered in 4x2 and 6x4 configurations, with conventional and cabover cabs, usually two-door, although custom configurations were available upon request. The most common engines were large Hercules inline six, especially the 8.7L RXC, with some diesel options available by special order. They used heavy duty 5 speed manual transmissions, often combined with auxiliary gearboxes for a wider gear range. As a notable feature, the 900 Series solidified Diamond T's reputation as a manufacturer of high quality trucks with above average market finishes, being considered by many carriers as "the luxury trucks" within the American heavy segment. The Diamond T 900 Series was produced until 1956.
