Dodge Viper GT2 Commemorative Edition (1998 to 1998)

The Dodge Viper GT2 was a limited edition, high performance version of the Second Generation Viper. The full official name was GT2 Commemorative Edition, although this model is commonly, and mistakenly, referred to as the GTS-R. The model was created to celebrate the Viper's Constructor and Drivers titles in the GT2 racing series with their GTS-R race car. This limited edition model was only sold in white with twin blue racing stripes, and it featured a bodykit with a large rear spoiler. The 8.0L V10 engine also received a few improvements boosting power by 10hp. The reason for many people referring to the GT2 as the GTS-R is the "GTS-R" badging on the front flanks, confusingly, this badging is a tribute to the race car, and not the name of the model. Only 100 examples of the Dodge Viper GT2 Commemorative Edition were built, all of them for the 1998 model year.
