Frazer Nash Boulogne (1925 to 1932)

Produced between 1925 and 1932, the Boulogne was a sporting model powered by a 1.5-liter (1496 cc) four-cylinder engine, which initially utilized a side-valve Anzani unit before later offering an overhead-valve Meadows engine as an option. Usually fitted with twin carburetors, the engine produced around 80 bhp with a top speed of 82 mph, and could also be fitted with a supercharger to create the more powerful "Boulogne Vitesse". The transmission featured Frazer Nash's famous chain-drive system with a three- or four-speed gearbox, connected via a dry three-plate clutch. The Boulogne featured quarter elliptical leaf springs all around, and cable-operated brakes. It was available in a variety of open two, three, or four-seater body styles, and multiple chassis lengths. Models built before 1928 featured running boards joining the separate mudguards.
