Frazer Nash Super Sports (1924 to 1929)

Produced from 1924 to 1929 the Frazer Nash Super Sports was a lightweight sports car closely related to the Fast Tourer but distinguished by a slightly higher-tuned engine. It was powered by a 1.5-liter (1496 cc) four-cylinder engine, which could be equipped with a Plus Power, Anzani, or Meadows unit. Power was delivered to the rear wheels through the marque's famous chain-drive transmission, which utilized a separate chain for each gear to enable quick ratio changes for different competitive events. This transmission initially offered three forward gears and one reverse, with a four-speed option becoming available from 1927. Key features included a shorter 99-inch wheelbase and a distinct lack of running boards. The model was offered with the same open two, three, or four-seater bodywork as the Fast Tourer and Boulogne models.
