The 190 D 2.5 Turbo was a diesel powered version of the Mercedes-Benz 190 which was also known as the 190Dt. Introduced for the 1987 model year, the 190D 2.5 Turbo was powered by Mercedes' OM602 D 25 A Turbo engine. This turbocharged 2.5L inline five cylinder sent 120hp to the rear wheels via automatic transmission. Production of the Mercedes-Benz 190D 2.5 Turbo lasted until 1993, when the model was discontinued with most examples sold in North America.
