Mercedes-Benz 190(1983 to 1993)

The Mercedes-Benz 190 was the company's first compact luxury car. Introduced in 1983, the 190 is known internally at Mercedes as the W201, and was available with carbureted, fuel injected, or diesel engines. The carbureted version was designated the 190, the fuel injected version was designated the 190 E, and the diesel was designated the 190 D. The predecessor to the C-Class, the 190 was meant to be an entry-level Mercedes-Benz. In production until 1993, the 190 saw numerous models, notable among which are the 2.5-16 Evolution I and the 2.5-16 Evolution II.
