Mercedes-Benz 190D - W201 (1984 to 1993)

The 190 D was the diesel powered version of the Mercedes-Benz 190. Introduced for the 1984 model year, the 190D was powered by either a 2.0L or 2.2L inline four diesel engine. Both engines generated the same power, but with slightly different powerbands, and were available with manual or automatic transmission options. Although the 190 D was only sold in North America for the 1984 and 1985 model years, worldwide production continued until 1993.
