Launched at the 1932 London Motor Show, the MG K-Type was the replacement of the well known MG F-Type. It featured a longer wheelbase, upgraded steering mechanism, cable operated drum brakes made of a light magnesium alloy, and suspension that came with Hartford friction shock absorbers. As for engines, there where three different configurations starting with the 1087cc inline six found in the K1 & K2, the 1271cc inline six also available in the K2, with the most powerful engine found in the K3, a supercharged 1087cc inline six. The K3 model was a very successful race car, having won the 1933 Mille Miglia in the 1100cc-class and placing 4th overall and winning the index of performance during the 1934 Le Mans 24H.
