The MG Q-Type was a racing car manufactured by MG during 1934. The chassis was slightly narrower but still based on the successful MG K3. The engine block came from the MG P-Type, with a special crankshaft that brought the capacity down to 746cc in order to fit a supercharger for the Q-type to produce 113bph at 7200rpm. The MG Q-type was a very successful race car, but very few were made given the high manufacturing costs.
