This custom 1966 Ford F-100 is a fusion of classic character and modern innovation finished in orange and charcoal with great attention to detail, perfect for a classic Ford Truck enthusiast or collector. The project began with a solid 1966 2WD 6-cylinder truck that had been converted to 4WD and given a powerful 352ci FE V8 and a four-speed manual transmission. This foundation was the basis for a 12-year frame-up restoration by the owner, a machinist, and his son, a master technician, during which all mechanicals were rebuilt, and the truck was outfitted with a host of custom features.
The V8 engine cylinders were bored to increase power and paired with a custom stainless steel side exhaust with valve control that commands attention. Both functional side scoops and a non-working hood scoop add to the aggressive stance and heat-release vents on the hood help keep the engine cool. A handcrafted front bumper, modified rear bumper, and custom tail lights offer unique touches and modern complements to the classic design.
The interior has been customized with black vinyl bucket seats separated by a storage console. Beneath the seats are innovative storage compartments and behind each seat are a pair of speakers and a subwoofer controlled by a modern stereo system that has been hidden in the dash to preserve the classic character of the truck. Surrounding the original odometer is an updated cluster with a tachometer, while new gauges sit above the center of the dashboard. The interior has been painted and the floor is finished in a durable bed-liner while a custom headliner provides insulation. In the Duplicolor Bed Armor lined bed of the truck sits the spare tire mounted on a frame that allows it to be raised to provide full bed access.
A recent third-party inspection and portfolio of photos document the excellent condition of the vehicle.

About the model
The Ford F-100 was a light-duty variant of the 4th Gen F-Series that debuted for the 1961 model year. The F-100 was a 1/2-ton pickup that was offered in a single cab body style with short or long truck beds. These truck beds were available with the sleek Styleside bedsides, or the fendered Flareside bedsides. Throughout production, these trucks were offered with a standard inline-six engine or an optional V8. Depending on the year, displacement for these engines ranged from 223ci to 300ci for the inline six, and 292ci to 352ci for the V8. These engines were paired with manual or automatic transmissions, which depending on configuration, would send drive to the rear wheels or all four wheels. A notable offering for the 4th Gen was the Camper Special, which featured strengthened components to accommodate slide-in campers. Production of the 4th Gen Ford F-100 ended in 1966.
