The 325i Touring was the station wagon version of the E30 BMW 3 Series. These station wagons were introduced in Europe in 1988, and never officially imported to North America. Power for these wagons came from BMW's M20B25 engine, which was a 2.5L inline six unit that produced around 170hp. At the time of its introduction, BMW didnt produce any station wagon variants, so the prototype for this body style was actually created by BMW employee Max Reisböck at his home. When BMW's chairman saw the model, the company decided to put it into production. The E30 325i Touring was the last E30 variant to be built, with production lasting until 1994.
