Chevrolet Corvette - Base Model - C4 (1984 to 1996)

The Base Model Corvette was the standard offering for the C4 Corvette. Debuting for the 1984 model year, the base model was available in a convertible, or semi-convertible (often referred to as coupe) body style. Over the course of production, these cars were powered by a variety of 5.7L V8 engines that ranged from 205hp to 330hp in output. Drive was sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. Production of the C4 Corvette Base Model ended in 1996, when it was replaced by the C5 Chevrolet Corvette Base Model.
