The Chevrolet Corvette IMSA GTLM Championship Edition was a limited production variant of the C8 Corvette that was only offered for the 2022 model year. Also known as the C8.R Championship Edition, these cars were created to celebrate the Corvette's 2020 IMSA Series championship season, and were offered in the Accelerate Yellow or Hypersonic Gray color schemes that mirrored the C8 race cars. Built in both semi-convertible (aka coupe) and convertible body styles, the IMSA GTLM Edition also featured the 3LT trim level, as well as the Z51 Performance Package. Powering these cars was 490hp naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine found in the C8 Stingray. This engine was paired to an 8 speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sent drive to the rear wheels. Just 1,000 examples of the Chevrolet Corvette IMSA GTLM Championship Edition were built by the end of production.
