To mark the end of the C6 Corvette, Chevrolet introduced the 427 Collector Edition for the 2013 model year. Offered exclusively in a convertible body style, the 427 Collector Edition was the most powerful convertible Corvette ever built at the time of its release. Powered by the same 7.0L LS7 V8 engine as found in the C6 Z06, these drop top sports cars had 505hp sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission. As 2013 was the Corvette's 60th Anniversary, many 427 Collector Editions were equipped with the 60th Anniversary Package, which included white paint with gray stripes, a blue interior, and a ZR-1 style spoiler amongst other additions. These cars could also be offered in a more "standard" guise, which allowed other interior and exterior colors. A one-year only offering, the C6 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Collector Edition saw just 2,552 examples built by the end of production.
