The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is the standard, or base model variant for the C8 Corvette. Introduced for the 2020 model year, the Stingray is offered in semi-convertible (aka coupe) and convertible body styles, and features a mid-mounted V8 engine, a first for the Corvette. This naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine generates 490hp, which it send to the rear wheels through an 8 speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Corvette Stingray is offered in three trim levels (1LT, 2LT, and 3LT) with an optional Z51 Performance Package.
