The Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition was a special edition variant of the C4 Corvette that was offered for the 1996 model year. The C4 Collector's Edition was the last variant of the C4 Corvette built before the C5 Corvette was introduced. The Collector's Edition was built in Convertible and Semi-Convertible (often referred to as Coupe) body styles, and was available with two engines, the 300hp LT1 V8 or the 330hp LT4 V8. These engines were paired to manual or automatic transmissions that sent power to the rear wheels. A total of 5,412 examples of the C4 Corvette Collector's Edition were built, with 4,031 semi-convertibles and 1,381 convertibles.
