The Chevrolet El Morocco was a series of luxury cars introduced for the 1956 model year. The El Morocco was the brainchild of a wealthy business man who wanted to create a luxury car to mirror the Cadillac Eldorado, but in a smaller package. These cars used the Chevrolet Bel Air as a base, and featured a raft of parts from a range of manufacturers. Between 10 and 20 examples of the El Morocco are believed to have been built, in open top and hardtop bodies.
