The Citroën CX was a series of full size cars introduced in 1974. The CX was offered as a short or long wheelbase four door fastback, or a five door shooting brake estate. The CX was built in two series, Series 1 (1974-1985) and Series 2 (1985-1991), and was offered with a wide range of naturally aspirated and turbocharged inline four engines. Often considered to be one of the last "real Citroëns," as it was developed before Citroën was acquired by Peugeot in 1975, the CX ended production in 1991.
