Ford Mustang Saleen - 3rd Gen (1984 to 1986)

Steve Saleen's first modified Mustang was released in 1984 during the 3rd generation of Mustang. The early Saleen Mustangs were based on the 3rd Gen Mustang GTs, could be had in Hatchback or Convertible, and were built with suspension upgrades and aesthetic alterations. Customers were given options for bigger brakes, Racecraft suspension components, larger wheels, aerodynamic body modifications, and Koni shocks, as well as other options. Units built over three years (1984 to 1986) totaled just 344. Saleen continued modifications to the 3rd Gen Mustang GT, after a body style update, from 1987 to 1993.
