The 1990-95 Corvette ZR1 was something very special in its day. The Corvette team sought to create a world class car that could compete with the big boys from Ferrari and Porsche. They certainly did that! The ZR1 got a Lotus-designed 5.7 liter DOHC 32-valve V8 (designated LT5) and a ZF 6-speed, along with 3-way driver adjustable suspension and the best handling, steering and braking hardware available. The result was a car that dominated racing for its 6-year run, easily besting the Europeans. It was literally the fastest AND the quickest production car that money could buy from 1990 through 1995. With 375 hp and 370 lb/ft of torque, the ZR1 was good for 4.3 seconds zero-to-60 and a top speed of 180 mph, in 1990! It went on to set several world records including the 24-hour endurance, averaging 175 mph over 24 hours, a record that still stands today. Only 6,939 were built over it's 6-model-year run. They put massive 11-inch wide rear wheels on and tailored all the bodywork from the doors aft to accommodate the extra width. The extra 2 inches on each side were so subtle that its hard to spot, unless parked by a standard C4 Corvette.
This 1991 Corvette ZR1 is white with gray leather (only 300 ZR1s were built with this color combo). It looks like a new car inside, outside and underneath (see video). It's fully loaded with virtually every option, it runs and drives incredibly well, and everything works. 44,000 original miles, 2-owner car with service records. Aftermarket stereo. Both tops. Original ZR1 UV-laminated windshield in perfect shape. Only ZR1s have them, no one makes them anymore, many have delaminated or been damaged and replaced with a stock C4 windshield. One of these windshields recently sold on Bring a Trailer for $4,100. (The square at the bottom is to clear radar detectors and garage door remotes.). Original owners manual. Mint condition Pizza Box full of all the cool ZR1 goodies, some not having been unsealed. Window sticker and build sheet. Check video for details. Clean CarFax Report.
