The Ford Model A (1903) was a series of early Ford cars introduced in 1903. Not to be confused with the later Ford Model A, this early model was the first car built by Ford, and was available as a two seat runabout or four seat tonneau. The early Model A was powered by a 1.7L flat two engine that produced 8hp. A variant known as the Model AC was also available in 1904, this car used the bigger engine from the Ford Model C. Production of the Ford Model A ended in 1904, and was replaced by the Model B and Model C.
