The Ford Ute was a series of utility vehicles introduced in 1934 by Ford Australia. 'Ute' is an abbreviation for utility, which when related to cars refers to a non-truck body paired with a tonneau cargo compartment. The Australian Ford Utes were available as a roadster or coupe, and were built until 1960, when they were replaced by the Australian Ford Falcon Ute.
