The Mercedes-Benz 300GD Cabriolet (later the G300 D Cabriolet), was a diesel powered variant of the W463 G-Class that was introduced for 1990. The 300GD was powered by Mercedes' OM603 D30 engine. This 3.0L inline six diesel engine generated 113hp and 141 lb ft of torque. Drive was sent from the engine to all four wheels via a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. In late 1993, Mercedes changed their naming system, moving the letter designation to the front of the displacement designation, thus changing the name of the 300GD Cabriolet to the G300 D Cabriolet.
