Ford Mustang - 3rd Gen (1987 to 1993)

The second evolution of the Third Generation Ford Mustang debuted for the 1987 model year. Enthusiasts commonly refer to this second evolution of the Third Generation Mustang as the "Aero" or “Aeronose” due to its sleeker, more aerodynamic appearance. These updated Mustangs were available in hardtop, coupe, and convertible body styles, and featured a range of inline four and V8 engines. These engines were paired to manual or automatic transmissions, with both options sending drive to the rear wheels. Many notable variants were built for the "Aero," including the GT, SSP, SVT Cobra, and the high performance SVT Cobra R. Production of the Third Generation Mustang lasted until 1993, when it was replaced by the Fourth Generation Ford Mustang.
