Porsche 911 Carrera 2 - 964 (1990 to 1994)

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2 was a variant of the Porsche 964 that debuted for the 1990 model year. The 964 Carrera 2 was offered in coupe, cabriolet, and Targa body styles, all of which were powered by Porsche's M64 engine. The M64 engine was a naturally aspirated 3.6L flat six that had an output of 247hp. This engine was paired to either a 5 speed 'G50' manual or 4 speed 'Tiptronic' automatic transmission, with power being sent to the rear wheels. While special variants of the 964 Carrera 2 included the America Roadster and the 'Turbo-Look' Cabriolet, the standard variants consisted of the Coupe - Manual, Coupe - Tiptronic, Cabriolet - Manual, Cabriolet - Tiptronic, Targa - Manual, and Targa - Tiptronic. A total of 34,398 examples of the 964 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 were built before production ended in 1994, when Porsche introduced the next generation of 911, known as the Porsche 993.
