Ford Mustang - S-197 II - 5th Gen (2010 to 2014)

The 2010 to 2014 Fifth Generation Ford Mustang was the second evolution of the S-197 I coded platform. Featuring evolved retro-inspired styling, which drew heavily from the First Generation Mustang, many special editions were offered in addition to the GT, including a Boss 302, Boss 302 Laguna Seca, Boss 302S, Shelby Mustang, and popular versions were modified by Roush and Saleen. Ford also provided a range of factory-built race cars known collectively as the Ford Performance Race Cars. Bodies could be configured in a convertible or coupe, and the interior also received evolved retro styling. The rear suspension continued to feature a cost-saving live rear axle. A V6 and two V8s sent power to the rear wheels through a five or six-speed manual or automatic transmission. In 2014, the Sixth Generation Ford Mustang replaced it.
